Textile Arts

An interdisciplinary approach to the study of clothing and textiles

Machine Embroidered Plastic
by Joshua Sherburne

The Textile Arts program provides a critical investigation of clothing and textiles with a focus on craft, sustainability, and community engagement. Students learn techniques in weaving, surface design, and sewn construction towards costume, fashion, and contemporary art.

The curriculum immerses students in the conceptual, interdisciplinary, and experimental possibilities of fiber and material processes.
